What are we going to do?

 

WEEKLY SCHEDULE - July 6-27

The First Unitarian Congregation, 175 St Clair Ave W., Shaw Hall

Monday-Thursday

Morning - vocal, dance, dramatic classes

Afternoon - rehearsals for a fully-staged and choreoraphed presentation of the show for full production students.  Students in the weekly program will audit, aid in role preparation and behind the scenes work.

Friday

Morning - Rehearsal for the show

Afternoon - Seminars, Performance Masterclass

July 28  Move into Al Green Theatre

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Vocal Class- group vocal warm-up, exercises for relaxation, breathing, projection, range, alexander musical theatre exercises, choral techniques, musical style, individual instruction (if desired)

Drama Class -theatre games, improv classes,character study, scene study

Dance Class- stretching exercises, body and group awarness, fundamentals of technique and style suitable from beginner to advanced

Seminars- auditioning, managing performance anxiety, choosing appropriate repertoire, monologues, vocal care, behind the scenes (props,lighting, sets, costumes)

"The Show Business" - TBA this will be given by a special guest (Agent, Producer or Celebrity)

Performance Masterclass (vocal/dramatic)- students will have the opportunity to perform material of their choosing (from the play or otherwise) and will be given feedback from their peers and the directors.
